How to Apply for RRB JE Recruitment 2026
Candidates can complete the RRB JE online application by following these basic steps.
- Visit an official RRB website and open the RRB JE 2026 application link.
- Existing candidates can use their credentials from previous RRB CEN applications.
- New candidates should select Create an Account.
- Enter an active mobile number and email ID.
- Verify both through OTP.
- Complete identity authentication using Aadhaar or DigiLocker.
- Submit the account details.
The mobile number, email ID and selected RRB entered during account creation cannot be changed later.
Step 2: Complete the Application Form
After logging in:
- Select one RRB.
- Choose the eligible Railway Zones and posts.
- Enter personal and educational details according to the 10th/Matriculation/SSLC certificate.

The examination is available in English, Hindi and 13 regional languages.

CBT 1 has 100 objective questions and the duration is 90 minutes. Candidates eligible for a scribe get 120 minutes. There is a one-third mark deduction for every incorrect answer.

CBT 2 contains 150 questions and has a duration of 120 minutes. Candidates eligible for a scribe get 160 minutes. The exam also has one-third negative marking for incorrect answers.
The basic pay for RRB Junior Engineer posts is ₹35,400 under Pay Level 6 of the 7th Pay Commission. Eligible employees can also receive applicable allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and Transport Allowance.
